During these classes we will explore: During this course we will explore: • The basic rules of facial proportions • Ways of measuring to observe more accurately • Planes of the face • Understanding light and shadows to create 3D forms • Study the facial features in detail • More complex angles, 3/4 view. • How to draw hair • Rendering techniques in pencil and charcoal • Understanding line and edges and mark making. • Backgrounds and composition. Minimum basic materials required: • Graphite pencils 2B, 4B, 6B • A4 paper • Eraser • Pencil sharpener Further materials will be discussed in class and can be purchased in store at Arthouse.
